DAY
1 MAROS REGENCY
So
the first day we are gather in our campus at 07.00 AM and our tour leader called our name one by one to make sure
that we are not late. after that we get an information from our lecture and
pray together before go. Our trip today is divided into 4 bus, and i’m on the
first bus. Now its time to start our trip to Maros Regency especially
Rammang-Rammang. To reach Rammang-Rammang it takes about an hour.

And along the trip, we have to telling or guiding about our topic that
already gave from our lecture. Our tour leader call us one by one depends on
our topic. My topic is about social organization of makassar city. And also we
have to write the tourism component that we passed. Such as hotel, restaurant,Etc.
Before reach Rammang-Rammang, we have to use a traditional boat from the
harbour. It takes about 20 - 30 minutes to reach Rammang-Rammang. And for price
it depend with the number of the pax. If I not mistake, 1-4 person is IDR.
250.000, and more passenger also the price is more higher.
After arrived in Rammang-rammang, we have to pay IDR 5.000 as a entrance
fee. There are 3 tourist destinations that we visit in Rammang-Rammang, Passaung
Site/King Kong Cave, Padang Ammarung, and Berlian (Diamond) Cave.
First is Apassung Site. The Paasaung site is also referred to as the
Kingkong / Kingkong Cave because there is a stone that resembles the head of
Kingkong. When viewed from the side this stone is very similar to the head and
face of kingkong.
In addition, at the Pasaung site there are also some red handprints. So
according to researchers who have visited this place, the hand stamp is a relic
of humans in ancient times and the color used is the red color derived from
sirih leaves. The hand stamp is a sign that they have lived or occupied this
place. However, over time some of the handprints began to be erased little by
little.
After that we have a lunch and also do zuhur pray. Then continue our trip
to Padang Ammarung. Padang Ammarung is actually a source of water for the
surrounding community. But on our trip this time the source of the spring did
not come out due to the long dry season and also the result of global warming
so that the springs are dry. So the local community fetches water from the
mountain behind it through water pipes.
After from Padang Ammarung, we continued to the last place, the Diamond
Cave. In this cave, there are real diamonds, but they are still raw, covered
with fine rocks. According to the local guides there, this place was discovered
around 2014 ago. Previously there was a resident there dreamed twice about the
existence of this place, but when he wanted to go looking for that found only a
large cliff. Then he told the local government that inside the cliff there were
chunks of diamonds.
Imported researchers from outside to investigate this place and finally
according to researchers that there are diamonds inside the cliff after being
tracked using a tool. After that they made an entrance to ensure the existence
of the diamond and indeed there was a chunk of raw diamonds at the top of the
bottom of the cliff. After that, in 2015 it was opened to the public as a diamond
cave tourist destination. In addition to diamonds, some of the rocks in the
cave resemble animals such as elephants, dinurusurus, dogs, octopus and
spiders. Some even resemble a mother hugging her child.
That is the last place that we visit today. After that we are going back to
our campus. Dont worry we still have a beatiful place to visit tomorrow. :)
Day
2 PANGKEP REGENCY
Today
we are start our tour faster than tomorrow, because now its Friday so the
moeslem boys want to do jumat pray. Now we are heading to pangkep regency, same
like tomorrow my friends guiding along the trip and we also still have to write
the tourist attraction that we passed. The trip to pangkep regency takes about
an hour.
Finally
we are arrived in pangkep regency. First we are visiting pandai besi, this is
one of the tradiotional culture in pangkep regency. Pandai besi is a
person/people who can make the traditional weapon that made from iron such as
parang, knife, sabit, badik, and so on. This place has been established for 60
years and has already passed 3 generation.
One
of The unique things in here is, if you want to buy it you can request the form
of the weapon that you want, also you can request the time that takes to make
the weapon. To make one parang it takes about an hour, but to make badik it
takes about 2 days. Because the process is more complicated. In one day they
can make 15 until 16 parang because they usually make from 9.00 am until 4.00
pm. Actually there are another pandai besi in here, so they will mark their
product to make it different with the other. And for the price is start from
IDR 75.000 until higher depends on the type of the iron and the form of the
weapon.
After finish in pandai besi, we visit the traditional market in
pangkep regency. In this market we have to do an observation for 1 hour.
Actually this market is same with another traditional market, but in front of
this market there is a river that used for the seller who came from the island.
The people from the island used boat across the river to reach this market.
According to my observation in this market, there are so many mango on this
market because now is mango season hehehehe. The type of the mango is very
various such is, honey mango, gole’ mango, arum manis mango, and so on. The
seller said that the mango is from their regency but in another district
(labakkang and sigeri).
Also in this market there is a
traditional transportation called delman or people in here usually called
bendi. If you want to try it, the cost is IDR 15.000 until IDR 25.000 depend on
the passenger.
After finish in the market, the boys do
jumat pray and the woman go to the 88 pangkep restaurant for lunch. The boys go
with 1 bus and the girls go with 3 bus. After finish pray the boys also go to
the restaurant for lunch together with everyone. Actually I hope we will eat
traditional food in here but no, we still eat regular food. Hehehe.
After finish lunch we continue our trip to
BATARI (bandeng tanpa duri) or in English is milkfish without bones. In this
place we got so many information about milkfish. Milkfish is an icon of pangkep
regency but, A lot of people lazy to eat that because this fish has so many
bones that certainly very annoying. So the owner of this place MRS ratnawati
mentari make a new innovation to make milkfish easier to eat. First she buy the
fish next she cut the fish and clean all of the bones, and after that she sell
it to another people.
Now,
in one day she can sell about 200 fish. And the price of the fish is start from
IDR 10.000 depends on the weight of the fish. Also this fish has so many
benefits, even milk fish has more protein than salmon fish and the price is
cheaper than salmon fish. Also the part of the body of milk fish have benefit
too. Such as their bones, can be used as gelatine. Not just fish, in this place
also sell another product but still using milkfish, such as floss, and snacks.
Now
its time for us to go back to campus because our trip today is finished. After
arrive in campus we get a dinner box
yeyy J and go back to our home. I think
that’s enough for my experience in my first trip. I hope I can tell you again
about my next trip.
