BULUKUMBA SINJAI REGENCY CULTURAL TRIP

Hello everyone
Welcome back again my beloved reader ^_^
Did you miss my post?
I hope that you still miss my post hehehe.
Now I will share to all of you about my trip in Bulukumba And Sinjai Regency.
I hope you will enjoy it.

first we are gather in our campus to check our attended list. Actually I feel so exited because this is my first time visiting Bulukumba And Sinjai Regency. and we will stay in there 1 night. So our tour duration is 3 days and 2 night.

So our first destinastion is go to Karampuang at Sinjai regency. In the bus we start to guiding practice, it's just a simulation but it's just like real guiding, every participant need to be tour guide and explain about local culture from the district and cities that will be passed. we take a lunch at local restaurant in Bulukumba Regency called Rumah makan  Agri.

After that we continue the journey to Sinjai, after a few hours of trip finally at 04:35 we arrived at the village of Karampung, Bulupoddo District.

There we traced the entrance to the traditional house but before we entered the Karampuang traditional house we had to take stones and leaves to put on the stone for the worshipers of the residents there.

After we entered, there were two traditional houses, one for Arung or Tomatoa ( King ) and one for Gella or Minister.  While there we enter the Tomatoa house to chat and ask questions about the house, customs, traditions and life of the Karampuang people. By the way Tomatoa can only speak Bugis Language and by the way My friend and I can speak Bugis Language so Me and My friend translate what the  Tomatoa say.  After talking for a few hours finally we said goodbye to Tomatoa and his wife and we returned to the hotel in the city of Sinjai, the Grand Rofina Hotel.  After checking in we shower and then get ready for dinner and after that we present our observations in Karampuang.

On the second day after the dawn pray we gathered and did morning exercises after that we returned to our room to prepare our things and take a shower.  After that we had breakfast, and after that we checked out.

After checking out we immediately went to the Balang Nipa fort which is quite close about 15-20 minutes from the Grand Rofina Hotel.  When we got there we made observations and saw objects from the Dutch era relics.

so Fort Balangnipa is The fortress symbolized by the three kingdoms and as a fortress of Dutch colonialism still holds a wealth of charm and mystery. The fort was erected in 1557 by three local governments namely the Bulo-bulo, Lamatti and Tondong kingdoms later known as the Tellulimpoe Kingdom. Historically, these three kingdoms have come under the auspices of the Gowa Kingdom, the most powerful government in East Indonesia in the past.

After the observation was over we went straight to the ancient Batu Pake Gojeng Park.  As the name suggests this place is an ancient park which contains prehistoric relics in the form of stones that are thousands of years old.  There is a park manager who will tell you about the Batu Pake Gojeng,
this place, Batu Pake Gojeng is the most famous tourist destination. This object is one of the tourist attractions with the most visitors aside from mangrove forests. This ancient park is located in Kel. Biringere kec. North Sinjai is approximately 2 km from downtown Sinjai.

After a few minutes we continue our journey to the Kajang area of Bulukumba sub-district. After a few hours of trip  we arrived.  By the way Kajang is divided into two namely inner and outer Kajang.  Before entering the inner kajang we take a short break at the inner and outer kajang border for lunch, besides that we wait for the rain to stop.  After a few minutes of waiting, we finally entered the inner Kajang.  For information, dont forget to take off your shoes or slipper, dont bring electronic devices inside and most importantly we must dress in black.

About Kajang community, The Kajang tribe is one of the traditional tribes, located in Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi, to be exact about 200 km east of Makassar City. Kajang area is divided into 8 villages and 6 hamlets. But keep in mind, kajang are divided geographically, namely kajang dalam (kajang tribe, they are called "tau kajang") and outer kajang (people who live around relatively modern kajang tribes, they are called "people who dwell around the relatively modern Kajang tribe, they are called "tau lembang").

after that we go to same resort for dinner and rest.

The next day at 08.20 am we continued our journey to the land of Berua to see the traditional shipbuilding from Bulukuma, the phinisi. In this berua land is famous for its phinisi ship craftsmen where phinisi ships from the berua land are already well known by foreign countries, especially the French who order a lot of phinisi ships in the area. There we make observations about what kind of wood is used until what rituals are carried out before the ship drops at sea.

After we are from the erua land we go straight to Balla Lompoa Bantaeng. We arrived at this Bantaeng Lompoa balla at 10.57 am. There we can see Bantaeng traditional house which has existed since the Netherlands is still in Indonesia. The first occupant of this house was named Pawelloi and this house was turned into a museum because it was used to be a place for meeting Dutch people. the construction of houses there is also still being maintained until now and only a few parts have been replaced.

After we from balla lompoa bantaeng we stop at Kampoeng Toa restaurant in Bantaeng, this restaurant is a restaurant that has a beautiful view because it is on the edge of rice fields and in the distance we can see the high mountains. There the atmosphere was also very beautiful plus we were entertained by a few parrots that were there.

After Lunch at Kampoeng Toa restaurant, we go straight to the salt-making area in Jeneponto, there we can see how the salt-making process is. But because at that time it was the rainy season so the salt-making process could not be carried out because of the large amount of water that inundated the salt-making area and could make salt production fail. But there we can find a lot of salt sellers on the roadside and we can ask questions and observe them.

After we are from the salt-making area, we go straight to our final destination, which is to return to Makassar Poltekpar. We arrived at Makassar Poltekpar at 05.40 pm.

Well I think that’s enough the information about my trip.
I'm so sorry if there any mistakes because I'm also human.

thank you for reading my post and I hope it will be useful for all of you.

see u on the next post. *peace*
